What should this Lodge become for North Collins?

We bought a building. We want to listen before we build.

← About the village of North Collins

What this place is

The Masonic Lodge at 10489 Main Street has been a fixture of North Collins for generations. It is a two-story building with a second-floor temple space and antechamber, a first-floor with secondary meeting rooms and a commercial kitchen, and a basement. ROC Affordable Housing Corporation acquired the building in 2023 from The Well That Never Runs Dry, Inc. The Lodge has been vacant for several years.

Why we are listening

A building this central to a village does not belong to a developer's plan alone. Before we decide what the Lodge becomes, we want to hear from the community.

We can't promise the building will become any one thing — but we are listening first, and we want to understand what neighbors need before we plan. Whatever path the Lodge takes will depend on what we hear from neighbors over the listening campaign.

What we will do

We document what we hear after every listening session and publish it on a page called What We Are Learning. When we bring design options for the Lodge later, those options will be shaped by what neighbors told us. The listening is ongoing — this is not a one-time event.

Tell us what you think

You don't have to live in North Collins. You don't have to come to a meeting. Just tell us.

What we hear gets published on the What We Are Learning page — without your name unless you said yes above.
